Goodbye Addiction

I'm forsaking you,

I'm saying goodbye

Too many years you took over my life

You're a wicked foe

I never could trust

Many years after you I did lust

You lied to me

And poisoned my soul

Invaded my mind and took full control

I'm closing the door

Its come to an end

The God I love

The One who lives in heaven above

He cares for me

And is my help

Never to leave me all by self.

And when you come

Knocking at my door

Looking to destroy me some more

I will turn away

In the arms of my Father I will stay

The chains of bondage

Are broken today

And so they will be forever always

Because of Jesus

And His love for me

Is the reason today why I am free!
