We're still hungry Lord, we really are, not just to see You move.
It is not Your power that we want. It's You on Whom we groove.
It's not what You do that we're looking for. We want to see Your face!
You're fairer than ten thousand and we long to be that place.

That place of Your wonderful presence - Your place of habitation.
We're most concerned for where You dwell - that's our cause of exultation!
We sense, Oh Lord, that You're homeless now. And You really want Your bride!
Those called and chosen instruments where You're home and will abide!

It's You we want, not just Your works, for the time is growing short.
We're still hungry Lord, we really are! Right now we plead, exhort!
"Help us die to all distractions." We so long to see Your face.
And lose all that now encumbers, so we might You embrace!

There's no problem we'll encounter, or worldly care endure
To stop us from our quest for You. Oh Lord! Please make us pure!
And strengthen us for times ahead because only You suffice...
Remove all that now encumbers and make our walks precise!

It's only in Your presence Lord that we will be fulfilled,
And all of our longings and "wantings" will on the cross be killed.
It's only in Your presence Lord that we will see Your face.
And it's not by our own effort, Lord, but only by Your grace!
